Veronica Burchill of Carmel Swim Club and Vanessa Krause of Duneland Swim Club take the top two seeds heading into tonight's A-Final of the Women's 100 Meter Butterfly at the junior national championships meet. Vanessa Krause takes the second seed with a very fast and impressive 1:00.02 but it is Burchill who really had our attention with her blistering 59.28. That time is about a second off the meet record. It is no surprise that Burchill has been swimming as well as she has. She has proven to be a more promising meters swimmer than she is yards but a 59.28?! Wow. But wait, do not just count out Krause just yet. She will challenger. Actually, do not be shocked if even Krause takes the win. Vanessa Krause seems to get faster and faster every time she swims the fly events. Watch her make a move on Burchill tonight. If Krause gets second and Burchill first or the other way around, either way Indiana goes 1-2 in the event. Showing that Indiana really is rising and stepping up their game in a huge way. Watch as both of these Indiana stars push each other to some great times tonight. |
